Welcome to you (potential client) and to you (lovely competitor).
Both are very welcome and we hope you find all the information you need. For potential clients we have a little bit of profile information, some technical business details for your admin departments and a little bit of history. The really interesting stuff however is over on our client page where you can see the awesome projects and training we've provided for other clients.
For the competition (you know who you are) please feel free to take a look around too. Unlike 'agencies' we're not about building the biggest house of creative noggins under one roof. We frequently use 'the competition' to create bigger, cooler results than any one business could on their own, so if we see an opportunity to offer our clients something different through your people then we'll simply give you a ring. Equally, our 'competition' sometimes ring us for solutions and everyone wins, especially the clients, which is really what it's all about.
Swiss Army Mike - Mike Thompson
So named by his friends and family for his ability to do many different activities, Mike has built an impressive repertoire of skills and background experiences. He brings a fresh (and often unusual) approach to marketing but always with a financial goal in mind. His former job titles include ad designer, bodyguard, affiliate manager, web developer, retailer, PR photographer and network manager.
When he's not behind a computer Mike can be found hill walking or designing elaborate ways to promote his rabbit's Facebook page. Which kind of says it all really.
The Boss - Rachel Thompson
Rachel is the second director of Big Blue Squid and long standing (suffering) wife of Mike. When she's not tending to the sick and needy as a hard working nurse she's advising on ad design and customer reaction. With degrees in both nursing and psychology she clearly understands how people and Mike thinks. 
When work allows Rachel bakes cookies, cakes, cheesecakes and anything else that includes chocolate or has a minimum of 500 calories per bite.

Why "Big Blue Squid"?
"Big Blue Squid" was the name of Mike's first web retail store. As a keen photographer and scuba diver Mike found it difficult and expensive to get underwater camera equipment so he bought a book on how to write PHP, the web programming language and built an online shop in about six weeks. Then he browsed the Internet for suppliers and started buying in stock. Within one year he was the largest supplier in Ireland, selling to retail, wholesale and government agencies worldwide. To launch the business he decided he needed a catchy fun name that was unique. He came up with Big Blue Squid. After closing the company in 2006 he decided to keep the domain name and logo on file, just in case he wanted to use it in the future. Today people see the 'unusual' name on event lists, search engine results and other places and simply walk up and ask him what it's all about, so even though the company has changed, the name is still catching attention.
